Because the NRCIA advocates for nationwide roof inspection standards, the NRCIA also advocates for its members’ education and training of those standards. Therefore, the NRCIA provides a curriculum of online, flexible courses to transition amateurs into qualified professionals. As a condition of membership, members must pass NRCIA training. The training portfolio focuses on the below critical areas of expertise:
NRCIA Overview and Ethics – including trademark, patent, and copyright law
Safety – including Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements, first aid, ladder knowledge, and fall protection
Roofing Systems – including different roof types, correct and incorrect roof installations, and necessary application of installation
Inspection Procedures and Protocols – including determining if a roof is qualified for NRCIA’s LeakFREE® Roof Certification during inspection and recognizing and communicating red-flags
Roof Certifications – including understanding and communicating its benefits, limiting liability, and legalities behind the certification
Member’s First 90 Days – including prioritized responsibilities and training and development opportunities
