A new NRCIA certified roof inspector in San Bernardino
Lorenzo Virgen Mendoza, owner of LVM Roofing Services in San Bernardino, California, has completed NRCIA accreditation and now holds the NRCIA Certified Roof Inspector (CRI) designation. He serves homeowners, buyers, sellers and real estate professionals across the San Bernardino area.
NRCIA has set the standard for roof inspection and certification since 1995. We train and accredit members. The work on the roof is done by the member.
What the accreditation means
The CRI designation is earned through the RoofGUARD™ program. Accreditation covers the inspection method, the documentation standard, and the criteria a roof has to meet before a certification can be issued. It is granted to an individual, not to a company, and it has to be kept current.
That distinction matters more than it sounds. There is no federal license for roof inspectors. A homeowner comparing two bids has very little to go on unless one of those inspectors is working to a published standard that someone else wrote down and holds them to.
What Lorenzo can now perform
As an accredited member, Lorenzo can:
- Perform a LeakFREE® Check, the five-zone inspection covering the interior, the attic, the exterior, the perimeter and the rooftop
- Produce a LeakFREE® Roof Inspection Report documenting the scope, the findings and the photographs
- Issue a LeakFREE® Roof Certification when the roof meets the published criteria, generated and registered through InspectionPLUS®
LeakFREE® is our federally registered trademark. Only NRCIA members can issue a LeakFREE® certification.
About LVM Roofing Services
LVM Roofing Services began working in the San Bernardino area in 2021. The company describes its aim as meeting the roofing needs of homeowners and the real estate community with consistent standards of service. Lorenzo is its owner and its accredited inspector.
Why a new member matters to the people we serve
Every new accreditation widens the map. A seller in escrow, an agent with a closing date, a property manager holding a stack of deferred maintenance requests: each of them needs someone nearby who inspects to a written standard and puts the findings in a document that will survive a second reading months later.
Across 6,460 member inspections nationwide, more than 66 percent of roofs either qualified for a LeakFREE® certification or could be repaired to qualify. Most roofs are in better shape than the person paying for the inspection fears. Knowing which case you are in is the point of the inspection.
Welcome to the association, Lorenzo.
