Roof Assurance®

Predict and prevent roof loss, with an NRCIA-accredited inspector keeping every roof inspected, corrected and on record.

Many costly property losses start at the roof, and many start small.

Roof Assurance® puts an NRCIA-accredited inspector beside the property owner to find that risk early, correct it before damage occurs and keep it in view year after year. The same standard carriers already rely on after a loss, applied before one.

One roof, two connected cycles

Prevention runs every year. When an event breaks in, a defined response restores the roof and returns it to prevention.

The Roof Assurance® ecosystem: two connected cyclesThe proactive cycle, Inspect and Protect, runs from inspection to correction to LeakFREE® certification to annual maintenance. When an event is reported, the roof crosses to the reactive cycle, Respond and Restore: investigate, repair, verify and certification restored. Once restored, it returns to prevention.EVENT REPORTEDBACK TO PREVENTIONInspect & ProtectPROACTIVERespond + RestoreREACTIVEPREDICTInspectionPREVENTCorrectionCERTIFYLeakFREE®STAY AHEADMaintainDIAGNOSEInvestigateRESOLVERepairCONFIRMVerifyRESTORECertificationrestored

A certified roof, kept current

A LeakFREE® certification tells a property owner, and the people who insure the property, that the roof meets one national standard and will stay in view through the term.

  • Inspect. Five zones, the rooftop walked, every finding photographed.

  • Correct. Deficiencies are corrected before the roof is certified.

  • Certify. A term of up to ten years, set by condition, slope and materials.

  • Maintain. Required annual maintenance inspections through the term.

If a covered leak occurs, the issuing inspector’s company stops it with a repair that lasts the remaining term, subject to the certificate’s terms and limits. Storm, third-party and other sudden damage are excluded, so they stay with the property owner’s insurance.

When something happens

The owner reports the concern to the issuing inspector, who determines the proximate cause of loss and applies the certificate’s terms. The carrier determines coverage.

  • Covered leak. The issuing inspector’s company stops the leak with a repair that lasts through the remaining LeakFREE® term, subject to the certificate’s limits.

  • Outside the certification. Storm trauma, third-party damage and other exclusions are explained, quoted and authorized separately.

  • Further investigation. More evidence, testing or Forensic Roof® methods when a broader investigation is needed.

Of NRCIA’s 2025 diagnostic inspections in Southern California, less than 1% were the inspector’s responsibility and none were caused by storm damage (NRCIA, 2025). The issued certificate sets its own terms, including any diagnostic fee, notice deadlines, maintenance duties, exclusions and service limits.
